For those in the dog world, the Westminster Dog Show is the most prestigious event held in Canada & US. I will likely never get to show there but some day really hope to watch the show in person at Madison Square Gardens in NYC. For now I love to watch on TV. I received an email from a fellow doggie person this morning and PETA is threatening to cancel coverage of the show. Why? Because PETA's premise is that breeding dogs for the show ring locks in genetic defects.

Perhaps PETA should leave the dog show alone and focus on puppy mills and back yard breeders that only breed for the almighty dollar.
