More of our dogs..the girls

As promised here are some pics of our beloved 4 legged members of our family that share our home. All our dogs are registered with the CKC and all my breeding dogs have obtained their championships.

This is Avery...my princess who will remain with us forever. Avery was my first champion and she has the sweetest personality of any of the dogs in the house.

This is Mercedes...aka Sadie. Sadie came to live with us at 10 months old. She overcame her shyness to shine in the ring and obtain her championship. She is always there to greet me but can be still shy with strangers...but we love her anyway!

This is Sienna...she since she was born (in my van, thus the name) has captured the attention and heart of Cassie who simply adores her.

This is Bailey...she belongs to James and is a favourite of any who visit. Bailey like to grin and smile at newcomers to get them to give her attention.

Cuba...we're going!!!

Well we finally decided...after much deliberation and much himming and haaing we are taking a tropical vacation!!! For 1 glorious week in February we will be in Santa Lucia, Cuba. Our first carribean vacation ever so we are all very excited. Looking forword white sand, blue/green water and hot hot weather... We got a phenominal deal with Nolitours. We are staying at the Brisas Santa Lucia...anyone ever been there...any reviews..good or bad?? We have tonnes of little details to work out like who's gonna watch the dogs, look after the farm etc but we are so pysched!!!

Happy Birthday to me

Just a quick post about my day. Today is my birthday...not going to devulge which birthday but its my birthday. I was treated to lunch with James at Boston Pizza in Peterborough and then supper with Dave and the girls at the Grand in Lindsay. I am FULL!!!

I was spoiled with a gorgeous pink amaryllis and Marc Jacobs "Daisy" perfume. Also a DQ cake with egg nog coolers...did I ever mention I love egg nog??

Also my wonderful beautiful and very intuiative sister totally blew me away with her gift of a gorgeous yorkie pin and a yorkie pendant...very cool gifts for the yorkie lover! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Welcome Eleanor!!!

Congratulations to our next door neighbors and friends who welcomed a new baby girl into their family this week. I look forward to watching Eleanor...aka Ella grow up.

Autumn

Well since my blog is called the "Yorkie House" I figured I had better add some yorkie posts!! Introducing "Autumn" aka BluAngel's Summers End. This little girl is almost 5 months old in these photos. She is sporting her first top knot. She is sassy and full of beans but at the same time will melt in your arms for a cuddle. She is maturing into a beautiful girl. Her colour is coming in a gorgeous steel blue with an awsome silk texture. She has the "show" attitude and thinks everyone in the house is under her spell....which they likely are!!

Another Snowy Day

Welcome to Canadian Winters....today is our typical non stop snow day. The kids did go to school today but tomorrow might be another story...

Getting there..

Well the bathroom reno is still in progress. We managed to get the washer/dryer stacked and in place last night at about 11:30pm...this was not without alot of fiddling and last minute adjustments. I must say that Dave is very talented and handy when it comes to plumbing and electrical and he likely will never need a pacemaker with all the extra volts that he absorbed this week!!!! So far the bathroom looks great and I am very pleased! I can't wait to have it all finished and complete....patience is not my strong point!!! So I can do laundry today!! I never thought I would hear myself say this but I was in serious laundry withdrawl....

Here we are so far..

We still have a ways to go before its complete...the shower is the next project and we have get our cabinet doors and trim measured and made...but its coming!!!

My Messy House

Well finally our bathroom is getting renovated!!

For those who seen it before...you'll know what I'm talking about. It was old and dated and really not functional for what we needed.

So about 2 weeks ago Dave ripped everything out of the bathroom to start over. My idea was to make better use of the space and add a laundry sink so I could bath the yorkies easier.

This is how is looks today...we have it painted and a new sub floor down. Cassie and I choose "Asian Silk" looks kind of like a terracotta colour. I was a little scared as it was bolder than I probably would have choose on my own but anyway we went with it.

While the work progresses, my kitchen looks like a construction site. On the weekend Dave hooked up my washer/dryer at my kitchen sink...nope no rednecks here....well maybe the toilet sitting on the deck might be the deciding factor!!

Welcome to my first blog! This is something I've wanted to do for a while but we were living in the dark ages with dial up so it was just not possible! We now have wireless high speed so a whole new world has opened up to us!

We are a family of 5 living on a hobby farm with lots of animals. We lead a fairly simple but busy life with 3 kids involved in different activites.

We raise miniature horses and I also breed and exhibit yorkshire terriers.
